Sube tu Ahorro was a project that emerged from my participation in a hackathon hosted by JP Morgan. This mobile application was designed to use the public transport payment system in Buenos Aires as a platform to foster microsavings and promote financial inclusion among the city's most financially stressed populations. The project was conceived, designed, and developed into a working MVP within the two-day span of the event, earning an honorable mention from the judges for its creativity and potential impact.
The primary objective of Sube tu Ahorro was to create a simple, accessible tool that would help individuals with limited financial resources save money in small, manageable amounts. By integrating with the existing public transport payment system, the app aimed to make saving as effortless and habitual as paying for a bus ride, thereby fostering healthy financial habits and improving financial inclusion. The challenge was to develop a working MVP within the strict time constraints of the hackathon.
